The first issue I had run into with this shoot was when collecting lights from the kit store as the first set didn’t have the correct wires, as I checked everything was working before leaving it was easy to resolve I made the kit store aware and was swapped for some working light.
when setting up I found that everything went smoothly, At first I had some issues with the Hotshoe adapter not syncing to the portable flash after going through the steps once over I realised my mistake and was able to shoot with the flash.

At some points the flash was too overpowering in conjunction to the artificial lighting in an underground tunnel, so I decided to change locations where the street lighting wasn’t as harsh and gave the subject assistant worked well with helping me move the lighting from one area to the other which made the shoot run smoothly.
I was constantly interacting with my model to ensure the emotion and narrative I was trying to get across was achieved 

This is one example of how the flash and the lights in the tunnel started to over expose the subject as well as not keep the focus

this also happened when standing my subject in front of a bright shop window. (see below)

As mentioned above I adjusted the flash settings accordingly and moved it further back from the subject as I shot in a few different areas in my location I had to keep adjusting the flash settings.
